Inequalities
There is a persistent gap in college enrollement and completion rates between students from low-income backgrounds and their wealther icounterparts. Scholarships help address this inequaity.

Work Study
Many students may need to work part-time or full-time jobs to support themselves and their families while attending college. This can hinder their ability to focus on studies and may extend the time it takes to complete a degree.

Limited Resources
Not all students have the same opportunities for advanced coursework, extracurricular activities, and college preparation programs in high school. This can affect their competitiveness in college admissions and scholarship processes.

Family Obligations
Some of our students have pressing financial responsibilities, such as supporting younger siblings or contributing to household expenses. This can limit their ability to save for college or afford the costs associated with attendance.

Systemic Barriers
Structural inequalities and systemic barriers in education can disproportionately affect lower-income students, limiting their access to educational opportunities and hindering their path to education.

Increased Debt
Without financial aid, lower-income students have to rely on more student loans, leading to higher levels of student debt. This debt burden, particularly on lower-income families, can limit financial stability for years following college.
